TWO INJURED - Massena-based state police reported two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident reported at 10:50 p.m. Thursday on state Route 37, near East Orvis Street, as traffic was leaving the fireworks display at the St. Lawrence Centre mall, Troopers said the vehicles were operated by Ruben J. Quinones, 48, of Massena; Kristina L. Johnson, 24, of Norfolk; and Justin B. Moore, 28, of Brasher Falls. Troopers said two teenagers, passengers in the Quinoines vehicle, were transported to Massena Memorial Hospital by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries. Jonathan Snyder received stitches for a facial laceration, and Dante SAtowell complained of stomach pain, that police attributed to his lap belt. Quinones was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed for following too closely and for having a passenger under 15 years of age not wearing a seatbelt.

DWI - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Tim J. O’Neill, 53, of Massena with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on the South Grasse River Road after responding to a disturbance complaint at 2:15 a.m. Friday. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.10 percent. A BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication.

ROBBERY - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Joshua M. Crippen, 30, of Burke with third-degree robbery and second-degree unlawful imprisonment following an investigation into a domestic dispute reported at 12:24 a.m. Friday from the town of Moira.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - ST. REGIS FALLS - Malone-based state police charged Frank L. Sokolowski, 39, of North Bangor with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by drugs and possession of a controlled substance not in its original container and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate exhaust and inadequate plate lamps following a traffic stop at 10:14 p.m. Thursday on North Main Street in the town of Waverly.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - CANTON - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Thursday. Among those:

• Andrew A. Hawkins, 31, of Potsdam at 11:18 a.m. on Route 11, near Ames Road, in the town of Potsdam.

• Patrick A. Duprey, 60, of Ogdensburg at 5:30 p.m. on state Route 37, near Chimney Island Drive, in the town of Lisbon.
