Police: Cape Vincent woman hit her mother over the head with ashtray


WATERTOWN — Kristina M. Finney, 21, of 449 Century St., Apt. 204, Cape Vincent, was charged by city police with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 3:52 a.m. Wednesday at 100 Polk St.

She is accused of punching and scratching her mother, Brenda L. Delgado, 263 State St., Apt. 201, several times in the face and of hitting Mrs. Delgado over the head with a glass ashtray, causing bruising and swelling to her right eye, scratch marks on her face and a bump on the back of her head, in connection with a domestic incident.

Ms. Finney was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, where she was held pending arraignment in City Court.
