Can-am to host monster truck show for DPAO

LAFARGEVILLE — Chapman’s Can-Am Motorsports Park will host the Night of Fireworks and Destruction Monster Truck Show to benefit the Disabled Persons Action Organization on Aug. 1 and 2.

The event will start at 7 p.m. on both nights with a pit party starting at 5:30 p.m. where fans can meet drivers and get photos and autographs.

A 40-lap enduro race will take place Friday, and a demolition derby Saturday. Fireworks will follow on both nights.

■ Watertown’s Tim McCreadie took second place in the 50-lap World of Outlaws late model event Thursday night in Hibbing, Minn.

McCreadie worked his way up from fifth place, but could not beat race-winner Jimmy Mars. Tim Fuller of Watertown placed 22nd.
