WATERTOWN — Michael R. Shirk, 27, of 22459 Colonial Manor Road, was charged by city police at 2:07 a.m. Monday with second-degree criminal trespassing and resisting arrest after allegedly breaking into a Watertown woman’s apartment.
Police said he broke into the residence of Courtney E. Baker, 1216 Superior St., Apt. B3, about 1:15 a.m. and was there until 1:47 a.m. He climbed onto the second-story rear balcony of the building and entered through a locked sliding glass door, police said. When he was told he was under arrest, he fought with patrol officers and refused to cooperate by placing his hands behind his back, police said.
He is to appear in City Court.
