A Dexter man was charged Sunday by Watertown city police with drunken driving.
Mark R. Bowman, 36, of 23245 Route 59, was charged with driving while intoxicated, having an open alcoholic-beverage container and an equipment violation at 1:37 a.m. at 1058 Arsenal St. His blood alcohol content was listed as 0.14 percent.
Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes proof of intoxication.
In a separate vehicle stop, Thursday on Route 11 in the town of Watertown, Tammy L. Barker, 51, of 16444 Route 11, was charged by state police at 9:10 a.m. with driving while ability impaired by drugs — a felony due to a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years.
She was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance not in the original container, possession of a hypodermic instrument and unlawful possession of marijuana.
She was arraigned in town of Watertown Court, taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building jail and held on $500 bail.
Joshua P. Stone, 34, of 34735 Route 46, Theresa, a passenger in her vehicle, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and issued an appearance ticket for town of Watertown Court.
