FELONY DWI - WESTVILLE - Malone-based state police charged Daniel E. Black, 24, of Fort Covington with a felony count of driving while intoxicated following an incident at 5:56 p.m. Tuesday in the town of Westville. The arrest was made at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday at Alice Hyde Hospital. Black was arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail.

ISSUING A BAD CHECK - WEST STOCKHOLM - Massena-based state police charged Shanon L. Brown, 37, of Canton with one count of issuing a bad check and Malone-based state police charged Brown with two counts of issuing a bad check on Tuesday. Troopers said Brown wrote a $30 check to the Village Market, West Stockholm, on Oct. 21, a $30 check to Woodforest Bank on Sept. 11 and a check for $44.98 to Mad Joe’s, Moira, on Sept. 11 on an account with insufficient funds.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - POTSDAM - CANTON -Canton-based state police investigated a two-vehicle accident at 8:46 a.m. Tuesday in the Walmart parking lot in the town of Potsdam. Troopers said the vehicles were operated by Richard J. Casey, 66, of Potsdam and Alain Lessard, 30, of Sainte-Apollinaire, Que.
