The Frederic Remington Art Museum will hold a Color Me Remington 5K Fun Walk/Run on September 20, on the Maple City Trail. The race will begin at the Dobisky Visitors’ Center at 10 a.m.

Come in white and get ready to be blasted with vibrant color powders. Color Me Remington is a family friendly run, not about crossing the finish line first, but to see how colorful you can get along the route. Think of yourself as Mr. Remington’s canvas.

Participants can register ahead of time or on the day of the race. Pre-registration by September 1 is $25; after that it is $30. Applications will be available on the Museum’s website, www.fredericremington.org or in the museum lobby. Packet pickup will be at the museum’s offices, 311 Washington Street on the Thursday and Friday prior to the race, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Packets will also be available starting 9 a.m. race morning at the Dobisky Visitors’ Center.

All participants receive a t-shirt and a pair of sunglasses. The event is free to children younger than 7, who may participate with a waiver signed by a parent.

If you would like to volunteer to have fun throwing colored powder on the runners, please call 393-2425 and talk to Melanie Flack.
