Canton - Ogdensburg’s Peyton Lalone exploded for four goals and passed out one assist leading the FC Freeze U18 squad to a 6-4 victory over the previously unbeaten Upstate United SC Wolfpack (6-1) on Thursday night in the NNYYSL action. While Lalone was strong with finishes into the back of the net, he was receiving crosses and lead through passes from Lisbon’s Adam Kelley (two assists), Parishiville-Hopkington’s Wyatt Snell (one assist) and Madrid-Waddington’s Tyler Robinson (one assist). Potsdam’s Pat Normindin found the back of the net from a Lalone cross while the Upstate United SC Wolfpack put one into their own net on a clearing attempt to round out the scoring.

Lisbon’s Nick Spooner was busy collecting 14 saves in the crease with Malone’s Pat Bylow, Potsdam’s Dave Caamano and Canton’s Keagan Sovay anchoring the back line play. The locals, now 5-2, return to action on Thursday night visiting the Thousand Island Soccer Club at Lafargville for a 6:30 p.m start before a playoff tournament on Friday at Indian River.
