Maynard F. Duger, 87, of Boylston, passed away Wednesday, July 16 at Oswego Hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1926 in Fulton, NY son of the late Roy and Edna Salisbury Duger. He lived in Fulton, Ira and Bowens Corners. He attended Cato-Meridian School and then served in the U.S. Army from 1944 – 1946 in the Military Police and Medical Corp. He was married to Kathryn A. Kingsbury in April 1948. They have lived in Boylston since 1982. He owned and operated his own trucking business for over 20 years. He later worked and retired from Lakeshore Transportation Co. in Oswego.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn of 66 years, a son Jeffrey Duger of Boylston, a daughter Wendy Rogers of Arizona, two granddaughters, Jessica Duger, Valerie Duger, and one great-granddaughter, Winter Hilliker, a brother Robert Duger of Hannibal, two sisters Norma Tompkins of Phoenix and Eleanor Hoffman of Hannibal.
Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Monday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Co. Rt. 45 Town of Volney with Rev. Brian Snyder officiating along with Military Honors. Memorial contributions to SPCA – CNY, 5778 E. Molloy Rd. Mattydale, NY 13211 or Humane Society-Oswego County, 265 West 1st Street Oswego, NY 13126.
