Sandy Creek pitcher Michaela Martin was named to the All-State Class C Softball team this week, highlighting seven Frontier League players honored by the New York State Sportswriters Association.
Comets catcher Kylee Martin — Michaela’s fraternal twin sister — was selected for the second team while teammate Gabriella Guarasce landed on the third team.
In Class B, General Brown ace Katie Pitkin made the third team and South Jefferson catcher Jackie Decker was named to the fourth team.
Copenhagen teammates Brooke Spaulding (pitcher) and Alicia Evans (shortstop) were chosen for the second and third team, respectively, in Class D.
Spaulding will be a senior this fall and the other six players graduated from their respective schools in June.
