SEXUAL ABUSE - MADRID - Massena-based state police charged David A. Maslin, 38, of Chase Mills with third-degree sexual abuse Friday morning following an investigation into a complaint filed with troopers at 11:26 p.m. July 11.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Priscilla K. Thompson, 45, of Akwesasne with unlawful possession of marijuana and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 1:28 a.m. Wednesday on state Route 37 in the town of Massena. During the traffic stop, troopers found two warrants for Thompson’s arrest had been issued by Bombay Town Court. She was turned over to St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police for arraignment on the warrants in Bombay Town Court.

IDENTITY THEFT - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Jonathan C. Barney, 17, of Brushton with third-degree identity theft Thursday. The arrest was made at 13 Hill St.

FELONY DWI - LISBON - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Ray A. Putney, 30, of Lisbon with a felony count of driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 9:29 p.m. Thursday on Flack Road in the town of Lisbon.

His blood alcohol content was not available.

He was arraigned in local court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with no bail set. The local court was unable to set bail because Putney has two or more felony convictions, including a November 2007 conviction for fourth-degree grand larceny from St. Lawrence County Court.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - CANTON - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Thursday. Among those:

• Amy M. Burns, 33, of North Lawrence at 9:10 a.m. on state Route 11B, near Mosher Road, in the town of Hopkinton.
