ASSAULT - ST. REGIS FALLS - Malone-based state police charged Gerold P. Brothers, 44, of St. Regis Falls with a felony count of assault with intent to cause physical injury after responding to a disturbance complaint at 9 p.m. Monday in the town of Waverly. The arrest was made approximately an hour later at 795 South River Road. He was arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail.

PETIT LARCENY - MALONE - Malone-based state police charged Lisa A. Nichols, 28, of Moira with petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 12:18 p.m. Monday from the Malone Walmart.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents on Monday.

Among those:

• Brittany C. Leblanc, 27, of Brushton at 10:20 p.m. on state Route 95, near the Buckwheat Road, in the town of Moira.

• Mark P. Baker, 29, of Colton at 6:01 a.m. on state Route 12, near East Martinsburg Road, in the town of Martinsburg.
