B&W Quick Stop ties Massena Savings and Loan in NNY Box Lacrosse action


BRASHER FALLS - B&W Quick Stop remained unbeaten by battling Massena Savings and Loan to a 13-13 tie while Goodrich Refrigeration outscored Enbridge-St. Lawrence Gas 11-7 for its first win in Northern New York Box Lacrosse High School Division action from the Tri-Town Arena on Wednesday.

The Elementary Division matchup saw Stacey Howlett, DDS, turn back Dow Electric 10-8 while the Whites edged the Reds 16-15 in the Adult Division game.

The nightly player of the game awards presented in the Elementary and High School Division games are sponsored by Powerade.

B&W Quick Stop 13, Massena S&L 13: Goaltender Cash Feeley made 19 of his 39 saves in the opening contest and helped set up a goal to earn player of the game honors for B&W Quick Stop. Jake Sutton anchored the offensive effort with two goals and two assists. Zach St. Hilaire and Landon Storrin both finished with a goal and two assists.

Wyatt Roberts scored three goals as player of the game for Massena S&L. Caleb Rathbun all broke through for three goals while Owen Kowalchuk logged a goal and three helpers.

Goodrich 11, Enbridge-SLG 7: Carter Rose led the way offensively with five goals as player of the game in the winning effort. Matt Burg tallied two goals and three assists while Dennis Powell scored twice.

For Enbridge-SLG, Hunter Storrin netted a pair of goals as player of the game. Brody Simonds (2 assists) and Dan Wing each struck for single tallies.

Trent Dow was the lone other netminder to share crease duties on the night and he finished with 38 saves and three assists over the course of the two High School Division games.


Stacey Howlett, DDS, 10, Dow Electric 8: Player of the game Jayden Ashley generated five goals in the winning cause. Tommy Storrin fashioned two goals and an assist while Myles Beeson scored once.

Holden Hewlett had two goals as player of the game for Dow Electric. Tyler Berkman produced three goals and Jonah Beeson a solo goal while Logan Premo worked the crease for 11 saves.


Whites 16, Reds 15: Cody Burns and Charlie Dullea scored four goals apiece while Kevin Logan notched three goals and three assists to anchor the winning offense. Andrew Fiske made 16 saves backstopping the win.

For the Reds, Cody Kilcoyne logged five goals while Marty Fregoe 91 assist) and Brayden Waite each scored four times while Brian LaBier turned aside 16 of the shots he faced.
