Henderson- Gloria M. Rabetoy-McGrath, 69, of Henderson, passed away at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse on July 22nd, 2014.

She was born in Brown’s Nursing Home, Adams Center, on January 31, 1945, a daughter to John J. and Jean M. Chrysler Rabetoy . She was educated in both the Adams Center & Sackets Harbor school districts. She worked at Samaritan Keep Home for a number of years. She also worked as a personal caregiver to Mary Louise LeFavire for over 25 years.

In 1975 she met Phillip H. McGrath, whom she would later marry on May 11, 1986 at their home in Henderson. Gloria enjoyed cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, and old movies.

Surviving besides her husband, Phillip, are her 4 children and their spouses: Patrick J. (Robin) Rabetoy, Belleville, Kellie M. (Michael) Stoner, Henderson, Shellie L. (Michael) Orloff, Rodman, Phillip G. (Jenna) McGrath, Henderson; and 8 siblings: Keith (Marlene) Rabetoy, Adams, Wayne (Denise) Rabetoy, Adams, Beverly (Donald) Kline, Mannsville, Sally (John) Cronk, Illion, Ross Rabetoy, Rodman, Marcia (Mike) Rice, Mohawk, Debby (Ray) Cean, Watertown, Rob Rabetoy, Smithville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by a brother, Bill Rabetoy.

The funeral service will be Saturday, July 26th, 5:00pm, at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 3:00pm - 5:00pm at the funeral home.

Gloria will be remembered as a caring individual who put the needs of others ahead of herself.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Henderson Rescue Squad, 8939 State Route 178, Henderson, New York 13650.
