The funeral for Anne M. Bovee, 71, of Belleville, wife of Frank W. Bovee, will be 11 am Saturday, July 26th at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Belleville. Calling hours are Friday, July 25th from 2 pm – 4 pm and 7 pm – 9 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Academy Memorial Scholarship fund, the Belleville United Methodist Church or to the Belleville Volunteer Fire Department.

Mrs. Bovee passed away Tuesday morning at her home.

She was born in Lorraine January 22, 1943, a daughter to Dexter and Pauline Cobb Pitkin. She graduated from Adams High School in June of 1960. Following her education, Anne worked in the restaurant management field in several places to include The 9 Maples Restaurant in Pierrepont Manor; Henchens, Bayside, Rydolphs, West View Lodge restaurants and the Henderson Harbor Yacht Club, all in Henderson Harbor. Anne operated the “Coffee Cup” restaurant in Belleville, managed a catering business there, and worked as the food service manager at Belleville-Henderson Central School all at the same time starting in 1985, until retiring in 2006.

She married Frank W. Bovee, December 9, 1966 in Rochester, NY.

Anne enjoyed organizing yearly travel tours and events for friends and family, handling all the lodging travel and food. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a room mother and Girl Scout leader. She was selected to attend the Culinary Institute in New York City in the late 1990’s. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Anne is survived by her husband Frank W., Belleville. A daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Bill Brabant, Belleville; a son Charlie F., Belleville; two grandchildren, Spencer and Zoe Stuckey. 5 sisters, Donna (David) Widrick, Cazenovia; Patty Nash, So. Carolina; Lori (Cecil) Gushlaw, Adams; Dodie (Larry) Mitchell, No. Carolina; Tammy Pitkin, Lorraine. Several nieces and nephews.
