CRIMINAL POSSESSION WEAPON - CLIFTON - Canton-based state police charged Jason M. Gilmour, 39, of Ogdensburg with a felony count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon after investigating a report filed with troopers at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. The arrest was made at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Benson Mines Golf Road. Gilmour was arraigned in local court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.

STOLEN PROPERTY - MORRISTOWN - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Todd J. Tyo, 24, of Ogdensburg with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property Tuesday afternoon stemming from an investigation into a complaint filed with troopers May 28 from the town of Morristown. Troopers said the arrest was made at 410 Cedar St., Ogdensburg.

ONE INJURY - CANTON - Canton-based state police said one person was injured in a two-vehicle collision at 7:39 a.m. Tuesday on County Route 27 at County Route 25 in the town of Canton. Troopers said the vehicles were operated by Suzanne L. Burnette, 51, of Russell and Paul H. Sibbits, 55, of Canton.

HIT AND RUN - NICHOLVILLE — St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a driver and vehicle alleged to be involved in a hit-and-run.

Deputies said at about 11 p.m. Monday on Route 11B in Nicholville the suspect, believed to have been driving a 2007 or newer Chrysler, was heading northeast when he struck a grey Chevrolet pick-up truck that was parked on the shoulder of the roadway. The suspect then continued toward Franklin County, deputies said.

The vehicle is believed to have sustained significant damage to the right front and right side, deputies said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy D.K. Thomas at 315-379-2222
