Brasher Falls man charged with aggravated DWI

NORFOLK — State police on Monday charged Courtney J. Goodspeed, 38, Brasher Falls, with aggravated driving while intoxicated. He also was cited with failure to signal a turn and crossing hazard markings.

Troopers allege that about 7 p.m. Mr. Goodspeed was traveling east on O’Brien Road in the town of Norfolk when he failed to signal a right turn onto County Route 49. Following a traffic stop,troopers determined that he had blood alcohol content 0.29 percent.

A BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.

He was issued an appearance ticket for Town Court.
