Doris was born in Lowville on January 1, 1933, the only child of Augustus and Clara Johnson Bush and graduated from General Martin High School in Glenfield. Doris was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Glenfield where she was the head of music ministry. She always said how she loved music and faithfully played the organ and sang at church since the tender age of 14 years old. Doris retired a few years ago after 65 years of providing her music at church. She also enjoyed playing the organ and piano for her family and friends; spending time with her children and grandchildren and canning her garden produce, and enjoyed spending time with her loving cat “Sushi”.
