FORT DRUM — Post officials rededicated the post’s chapel Thursday, after about two years of renovation work.
The more than $7 million project features more than 12,000 square feet of new space.
The renovations include an expanded sanctuary, a new multipurpose room, a new sacristy, a religious education wing and a new parking lot.
The post said the new space can hold more than 600 congregants.
The opening of the chapel was marked with a service with remarks from Chaplain Brig. Gen. Charles “Ray” Bailey, the Army’s deputy chief of chaplains.
