WATERTOWN — Joshua L. Durant, 30, of 132 Union St., was charged by city police at 4:07 a.m. Saturday with second-degree harassment and resisting arrest at 500 Newell St.

Police said he allegedly threatened to strike officer Joseph A. Giaquinto when he raised his arms and lunged toward him. He then attempted to pull away from officers and refused to place his hands behind his back, police said.

He is to appear in City Court.
