WATERTOWN — A vehicle rollover accident in the city injured two people Wednesday afternoon.
According to City Fire Department Capt. James R. Holland, a Hyundai Tiburon struck a light pole in the 100 block of Winslow Street at 12:39 p.m. and flipped over.
When firefighters arrived on scene, the passenger of the vehicle was outside the vehicle while the driver remained belted into his seat with his left arm pinned between the roof of the vehicle and the street, Capt. Holland said.
Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and used hydraulic extraction tools to remove the driver, Capt. Holland said.
Both the driver and the passenger were treated for their injuries and taken to Samaritan Medical Center. Capt. Holland declined to name the individuals, citing health care privacy laws.
City police did not answer calls seeking comment Wednesday afternoon.
