CANTON — The St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging has a limited number of Farmer’s Market coupon booklets left for eligible seniors who have not already received them. They are worth $20 and are redeemable at local Farmer’s Markets for fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables. The coupon booklets are free for seniors 60 years and older who are currently receiving or are eligible for SSI, public assistance, section 8 housing subsidies, or whose income is less than $1,800 if single or less than $2,426 if married. Only one coupon booklet will be issued per senior household.
All qualified seniors must sign for the booklet in person at the office. Coupon booklets cannot be mailed, nor signed for by a proxy.
The booklets are now available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Office for the Aging, 80 state Highway 310, Suite 7, Canton. For more information on services available at the Office for the Aging, please call 386-4730.
