Members of the Norwood-Norfolk Central cross country team celebrated the end of July by taking part in a 12-hour relay to raise funds for their team.
A total of 14 runners from the girls and boys programs combined to breakthe old record of 134 miles set in 2008 by running 141 total miles, roughly the distance from Norwood-Norfolk High School to Syracuse. The athletes did this despite having to deal with a 50 minute delay due to hail, thunder, and lightning. Connor Fulk led the boys with an average time of 5:38.7 per mile while Kaycie Saucier led the girls by running an average of 6:10.9 per mile.
