HEUVELTON — Police in St. Lawrence County are searching for two Amish girls reportedly abducted Wednesday evening from a roadside vegetable stand on Route 812.

The girls are Fannie Miller, 12, and Delila Miller, 6. Authorities issued an Amber Alert for them Wednesday night.

The girls were abducted by someone driving a white four-door car, St. Lawrence County Sheriff Kevin M. Wells said. It happened about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday on Route 812 in the vicinity of Mount Alone Road, between Ogdensburg and Heuvelton in the town of Oswegatchie, the sheriff said.

He said county, state and local police are aiding in the search. Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Lawrence County dispatch at 379-2222.
