CHAMPION – Lyle D. Prievo, 89, County Route 47, passed away on August 14, 2014 while at the Carthage Hospital.

Born in Herrings, NY on June 3rd, 1924, the son of Melvin A. Prievo and Ruth F. Wormwood. He was a member of the United States Army where he served during World War II. He was also a Directorate of Logistics and eventually retired from Fort Drum. He married Janice Tripp Bartlett on October 9, 1968. He loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Janice and his children and their spouses; Michael & Judy Bartlett, Copenhagen, Thomas & Kathleen Bartlett, Carthage, Bonnie & Thomas Haskell, Texas, Kevin & Harleen Bartlett, Arkansas, and daughter in law, Susan Eisel Bartlett Brown, Rochester. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sons, Jerry Prievo and David Prievo, his sister, and his brother, Leo Prievo.

A private service will be held. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery in Champion. Arrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., Located at 500 State Street in Carthage NY. 13619.
