City Hosts NYS BASS Federation Tournament


The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce and the City of Ogdensburg are proud to announce the NYS B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation Tournament (NYBCF) being held at the Dobisky Visitor’s Center, 100 Riverside Drive, Ogdensburg on Saturday, August 16th and 17th.

Over (120) fishermen and their families will be visiting Ogdensburg to participate in this tournament. We will welcome the fishermen and their families on Friday, August 15th with registration and a delicious dinner provided by The Place of Ogdensburg.

Boats will be launching at 4 am on Saturday and Sunday and returning at 3:30 pm for weigh-ins. Closing out the tournament will be the announcement of the six place winners on Sunday.

This tournament is made possible by Senator Patty Ritchie’s office who has allocated $70,000 for St. Lawrence County in special funding to support fishing tournaments and boost tourism.

The following vendors available from 10 am until 3 p.m. on both days: Stream King Fishing Lures; Thousand Island Winery; Blevins Bros. Inc.; North Tole; Down By the River Crafts; CJ’s Vintage Collectibles; Friot’s Family Farm; Pelican Peace Designs; St. Lawrence Valley Sportsman’s Club; North Country Fishing Lure Collectors; R & J Finds; Dell’s Sports and Novelties & Society of United Helpers.

The Grub Tub will have breakfast items at 4 am for the fishermen and lunch items for everyone later in the day.

On Saturday, a water slide for youngsters from Seaway Valley Jumpers and face painting will be available by Maggie Gebo. NYS B.A.S.S.
