WATERTOWN — A city man faces four years in state prison after pleading guilty Monday in Jefferson County Court to a charge that he possessed heroin.

Mark R. Amo, 28, whose last known address was 619 Olive St., pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He had been charged with having heroin May 17 following a traffic stop on Route 11 in the town of Watertown. In addition to the prison term, he is expected to be ordered to undergo three additional years of supervision upon his release at sentencing Oct. 15.
