St. Lawrence County grand jury indicts four on meth charges


CANTON — A St. Lawrence County grand jury indicted four Gouverneur area people Monday on felony drug charges related to a May methamphetamine bust in the town.

The grand jury charged Randy H. Reynolds Jr., 35, his wife, Jaclyn D. Reynolds, 45, and Caleb L. Rayburn, 27, all of 336 County Route 11, and Jessie L. Young, 26, no fixed address, with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.

It is alleged that on May 27, the four defendants, acting in concert, were in possession of about 108 grams of methamphetamine, its salts, isomers, or salts of isomers, and said preparations, compounds mixtures or substances.

The grand jury alleged that the four were additionally in possession of laboratory equipment consisting of pilers, screw driver, coffee filters, gas generator with plastic tubing, a pill crusher, chemical reagents or solvents being Muratic acid, Draino and ammonia nitrate with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
