CORNWALL, Ont. - It will a be busy Sunday evening at Cornwall Motor Speedway with several series visiting the track with a total of six categories in action on Nortrax.
Sprint Car fans will be pleased to hear that the Patriot Sprint Car Challenge will be held this Sunday evening with the best drivers of the Patriot Sprint Tour on hand. The Jared Zimbardi, Mitch Brown, Lee Ladouceur, Alain Bergeron, Chris Jones, and possibly drivers from other sanctions such as Steve Poirier and Etienne Girard could be in the pits.
The Wheeler-Forget Royal Lepage Sportsman will have a special 35-lap Summer Championship with some invaders joining an already hefty field of talented drivers. Shane Pecore and Corey Wheeler are still really tight in the point`s title.
The SpeedSTR will make their annual stop at the speedway this Sunday with a feature counting for the national championship. The Brother-sister duo of Maxime and Josianne Plante are leading the way over Francis Methot, Patrick Manny and Pierre Hebert.
Another division in town is the Vintage Modified series; a nice division for the nostalgic of the old Modified bodies, these cars are always action filled at Cornwall each year.
The Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock with 20 laps and the Laminacorr Semi-Pro with 15 laps are also on the schedule. The Jiffy Auto Parts Modified will have a rare night off just like the Mini-Stocks. Both divisions are in preparation for the finale August 31.
General admission price will be $18 for adults, $10 for Seniors 65 years and over, kids under 16 admission is only $2 with the pits at $28.
