CARTHAGE —Robert A. Bero, 49, of 3616 Deer River Road, was arrested Thursday evening by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies after he allegedly confronted a neighbor about dogs running loose in the area.
During the confrontation, Mr. Bero was armed with what appeared to be a rifle, deputies said. They later determined it was a pellet gun.
He was charged with two counts of second-degree menacing and one count of trespass. He was arraigned in Denmark Town Court and released.
