MASSENA — Three properties in the village are involved in potential nuisance law cases, according to Kenneth J. McGowan, village code enforcement officer.
The properties at the corners of Liberty and Sycamore, Sycamore and Woodlawn and 53 Pine St. are involved.
Mayor James F. Hidy said each of the properties has been on the village’s radar for some time. “We’ve given them time to comply,” he said. “We’re not going to deal with it any more.”
Mr. McGowan said he has spoken with the owners of the properties, and hopes to have the issues remedied soon. According to the village’s nuisance law, landlords can be fined up to $1,000 for each day the properties remain out of code.
