HAMMOND — Final preparations are being made for the 75th annual Hammond Fair, to be held Sept. 12 and 13 at the Fairgrounds on Lake Street.
Exhibits must be brought to the Fairgrounds and registered between 1 and 9 p.m. on Sept. 11. Friday’s schedule includes cattle judging. Hammond Central School will provide music at noon on Friday. An ice cream social and karaoke will be held at 4:30 p.m. A dance will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. for students grades seven to 12 only.
Saturday’s events include a horse show, rabbit and poultry judging and sheep and goat judging.
A children’s tractor pull will be held Saturday and children’s games are set for noon. There will be no chicken barbecue this year. A food stand will be open both days.
The St. Lawrence County Dairy Princess will have her display of goods for sale. The St. Lawrence County Maple Producers’ booth will sell syrup, cotton candy and other goods. Various contests will be held. For more information, call Joan Hadlock at 324-5517.
