Jon Escobar and Matt Diorio of the Watertown Rams were named to the Perfect Game Summer Collegiate All-American Team on Monday.
Escobar (Holy Cross) was chosen as a second-team pitcher and Diorio (Central Florida) was pegged as the third-team catcher.
Escobar led the PGCBL with nine saves and struck out 39 batters in 20 innings pitched. Diorio led the Rams with a .352 batting average and 24 runs batted in while playing in 28 games.
The team honors the best players from eight different collegiate summer leagues throughout the nation that fall under the Perfect Game banner. John Razzino and Josh Gardiner of Amsterdam, and Jayson Yano of Newark, were the only other players chosen from the PGCBL.
