CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Kara L. Lapointe, 30, of Massena with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle following a traffic stop at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday on Park Avenue. Troopers said Lapointe was found in possession of 1.2 grams of marijuana and a hypodermic needle with no prescription.

SCHEME TO DEFRAUD - COLTON - Canton-based state police charged John P. Clarke, 36, of Waddington with first-degree scheme to defraud Wednesday following an investigation into an a complaint filed with troopers May 31 from the town of Colton. Clarke was reportedly paid to supply another person with bees and never returned the money or provided the bees. He was arraigned in local court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility. The arrest was made at the city docks in Plattsburgh.

MENACING - MALONE - Malone-based state police charged Keith V. Muller Jr., 21, of Hogansburg with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and petit larceny Wednesday following a domestic dispute complaint reported to troopers at 3:38 p.m. Thursday at 39 St. Mary Road in the town of Malone.

Muller allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with two males at that address. Muller displayed a knife during the course of the altercation and threatened one of the victims. Muller then drove away from the residence, stealing a car battery from the premise before leaving.

Troopers said Muller was located a short distance away from the residence.

He was arraigned in town of Bangor Court and sent to the Franklin County Jail with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

HARASSMENT - OSWEGATCHIE - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Ronna R. Geddes, 47, of Ogdensburg, and Amanda J. Hall, 24, of Ogdensburg with second-degree harassment Wednesday following an investigation into an incident reported to troopers Aug. 18 from the town of Oswegatchie. Geddes was additionally charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct. Hall was arrest at 353 Scotch Bush Road, Morristown. The charges against Geddes were filled at 29 Pickering St., Ogdensburg.
