GOUVERNEUR — State police have charged three Gouverneur residents in connection to the May theft of more than $1,000 worth of equipment from a quarry here.

Troopers charged Brittney A. Barr, 22, of 470 Smith Road, and Cory R. Camidge, 25, of 576 County Route 11, with felony third-degree burglary, and Justin R. Sixberry, 30, of 991 Route 11, Lot 16, with felony fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Troopers allege that between 4 p.m. May 16 and 6:30 p.m. May 19 at the Gardenscape Quarry, 164 Seavey Road, Ms. Barr and Mr. Camidge stole a set of blowtorches valued at $800, a 20-inch Jonsered chain saw valued at $50 and a Milwaukee M-18 hammer drill valued at $200.

Troopers said there were no signs of forced entry at the quarry.

Mr. Sixbury told police he knowingly bought the stolen items from Mr. Camidge for $100.

Ms. Barr was arrested July 30 and arraigned in Fowler Town Court and released under probation supervision.

A warrant and order to produce were issued for Mr. Camidge out of Fowler Town Court on Aug. 12 as he was being held in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on unrelated charges.

He was arraigned Aug. 20 in Fowler Town Court and released back to the custody of the county jail.

Mr. Sixbury was charged Monday and was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Gouverneur Town Court.
