WATERTOWN — Junior Malinoski accounted for three goals and two assists as Indian River’s boys soccer team routed Corcoran 9-1 in a season-opening game of the Cyclone Booster Club Tournament on Friday at Watertown High School.
Ty Godin chipped in with three goals and one assist, and Kyle Smith added one goal and three assists for Indian River (1-0), which plays Nottingham at 11 a.m. today.
Fahad Aziz scored for Corcoran.
NOTTINGHAM 2, WATERTOWN 0
The Bulldogs scored a goal in each half to ruin the Cyclones’ season debut in the Cyclone Booster Club Tournament.
Ismet Sulgic scored in the first half for Nottingham, and Claude Tuyishimire added a second-half goal.
WHS received 15 saves from goalie Noah Taylor.
Nottingham keeper Bhuwar Basnet did not have to make a save.
GENERAL BROWN 6, CARTHAGE 1
David Vodicka scored three goals for the Lions on the opening day of the General Brown Booster Club Tournament at Dexter.
The game also counted in the Frontier League standings.
Alex Martinez added two goals and one assist, and goalie Matt LaJuett made four saves for General Brown, which plays Westhill at 3 p.m. today.
Brent Hoffman scored for Carthage, which matches meets Potsdam at 1 p.m.
COPENHAGEN 3, LOWVILLE 0
Antonio Figueroa scored the first two goals to help the Golden Knights to a season-opening nonleague victory at Lowville.
Connor Eddy added one goal and one assist, and Brandon Buckley made three saves for Copenhagen.
LISBON 5, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 1
Adam Kelley figured in three goals as the Golden Knights took a 3-0 lead in the first 19 minutes during the OFA Tournament.
Kelley set up Koby Jordan for the first goal and then scored off a pass from Jake Kiah and a cross from Logan Mathews 33 seconds later.
Colby Munson and Joey Pellerin scored to give the Golden Knights a 4-1 halftime lead.
Pellerin scored in a scramble five minutes into the second half to complete the scoring.
OFA 3, MORRISTOWN 0
Nate Peo recorded two goals and one assist to lead the host Blue Devils into the championship game.
Peyton Lalone contributed one goal and one assist for OFA. Jake Sias handled three shots posting a shutout.
PLATTSBURGH 5, CANTON 0
Jacob Bushey scored three goals for Plattsburgh in a win over the Golden Bears in the Chazy Tournament.
Brady Channell recorded four assists for Plattsburgh.
INDIAN RIVER 2, MASSENA 1
Kelsi Nabywaniec scored goals a minute apart early in the second half to give the Warriors a season-opening nonleague win at Massena.
Nabywaniec scored in the 43rd minute on an assist from Kammikia Barnes. She added an unassisted goal in the 44th minute.
Mia Germano scored for the Red Raiders in the 53rd minute.
Rebecca Monica stopped six shots in goal for Indian River.
WATERTOWN 3, ROME FREE 2
Olivia Miles provided one goal and one assist to help power the host Cyclones to a season-opening victory during the Cyclone Booster Club Tournament.
Kira Kolb and Abby Converse also scored, and Stacia Wallace made eight saves for Watertown, which plays Auburn at 5 p.m. today.
Jen Tasco scored both goals for Rome Free Academy.
LOWVILLE 5, SOUTH LEWIS 0
Kelsey Sammon notched one goal and two assists as the Red Raiders earned a victory in the Lowville Stop DWI Tournament.
The season-opening matchup also counted as a Frontier League game.
Selena Beller added two goals, and Mackenzie Tabolt also scored for Lowville, which is plays Canton at 3 p.m. today.

Ellen Thew and Summer Gillepsi each scored three goals as the host Chiefs defeated Malone in the Saranac Central Tournament.
