WATERTOWN — Gary S. Marshall, 42, of 544 Cooper St., Apt. 3, was charged by city police with second-degree criminal contempt after he allegedly violated a stay-away order Sunday at 622 Huntington St.
Police said he called Jeannie M. Cousins on the phone and used her to communicate with the protected party, Bernadine M. Brown. He allegedly told Ms. Cousins to tell Ms. Brown that he was getting an order of protection against her on Tuesday.
Mr. Marshall disobeyed a stay-away order of protection issued Aug. 18 by Jefferson County Family Court.
He is to appear in City Court.
