CARTHAGE- Norma P. Borland, 79, of County Route 42 died Saturday evening, August 30, 2014 in Natural Bridge. She was born on July 31, 1935 in Felts Mills to Marshal and Hazel McCarthy Lunderman. She graduated from Carthage High School.
She married Gerald Borland on May 1, 1955 at the Carthage Methodist Church. She was self-employed furniture refinisher, cake decorator and primarily a homemaker.
She is survived by her three daughters, Terri and Edward Ellis, Natural Bridge; Diane and Mark Peebles, Natural Bridge; and Lori Borland, Carthage. She is also survived by two brothers, Burton and Irene Lunderman, Black River; James and Velma Lunderman, Carthage; two sisters, Anna and David Rounds, West Carthage; and Cyrena (Lawrence-deceased) Gerber, Natural Bridge.
She is also survived by Two Grandsons, Scott Peebles- Syracuse, Greg Peebles (Stefania Blake) Carthage Great Grand Daughter, Gisele M. Peebles.
Pre-deceased by siblings Clarence (Dusty) Lunderman, Necia MCCoy, Keitha Youngs, Lucille MacCue
She was a member of the Bassett-Baxter American Legion Post #789, she enjoyed bird watching, and she love photography.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. at 1:00pm with The Canon Samuel P. Lundy, Anglican Priest. Burial will follow in the Black River Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., located at 500 State Street in Carthage.
