PLESSIS, NY – Brandon L. Hagan, 21, of County Route 3, died Saturday evening, August 30th as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident.
He was born December 5, 1992 in Watertown, son of James L. and Amber M. Ward Hagan. He graduated in 2011, from Alexandria Central School. At graduation, Brandon received a technical endorsement from Bohlen Technical Center, in the operation of heavy equipment. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Rusty Johnson Masonry.
He was well known in the dirt track car racing circuit in the northeast. Brandon was “Rookie of the Year”, at the Can Am Speedway in 2008, and went on to become “Track Champion” in both 2012 and 2013.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, James E, of Plessis, his beloved daughter Paislee R, maternal grandparents, Frederick “Buzz” and Gayle Ward of Alexandria Bay, his Paternal grandparents Joyce E. Hagan of Plattsburgh, NY and James R. Hagan of Alexandria Bay. Aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Calling hours will be held from 4-8pm, Thursday at the Costello Funeral Home, Alexandria Bay. The funeral service will be at 11am Friday at the Reformed Church of the Thousand Isles, with Pastor Jeff McIlrath, officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Plessis. A reception will be held at the Alexandria Bay American Legion, following cemetery services.
