LOUISVILLE - A Massena man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing scrap metal from a location on County Route 39, state police said.
Adam W. Baxter, 35, was observed by the property owner on Monday fleeing from the location in a vehicle and in possession of the scrap metal, according to police. While attempting to leave the scene, his vehicle became stuck and he fled on foot.
Mr. Baxter was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief and seven counts of third-degree criminal trespass. He was arraigned in Louisville Town Court, where he was released under probation supervision.
He is scheduled to appear in court again Sept. 17.
