WATERTOWN — The family of a 28-year-old Felts Mills man killed in an industrial accident at the New York Air Brake plant on Aug. 18 hopes to raise money for the four children he left behind.
The family of Christopher Getman has set up a fund for his children at the Watertown Savings Bank.
To make a donation, contact the bank and say it’s for the Chris Getman Children’s Memorial Fund.
Mr. Getman, who worked for P&M Construction across from the Air Brake plant, 748 Starbuck Ave., was killed when some equipment he was helping to move fell on him.
The Watertown Police Department is working with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration to determine how the accident happened.
An OSHA spokeswoman said Wednesday that it was an ongoing investigation but had no additional information.
