SYRACUSE — Syracuse will open its 2014-15 regular season by hosting Kennesaw State on Nov. 14 as part of the 20th annual 2K Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project.
The Orange are then paired with Hampton in a Nov. 16 Dome contest that is another round of the event.
The Kennesaw State game has not been assigned a tip-off time, while the Hampton game will be played at 4 p.m. and televised by ESPNU. Both teams are first-time foes for the Orange
Kennesaw State was 6-25 last season, but returns the club’s top four scorers. Hampton reached the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) and finished with a 18-13 record.
The championship rounds of the 2K Classic feature Texas vs. Iowa and Syracuse vs. California on Nov. 20 in New York’s Madison Square Garden. The consolation and championship games are scheduled for Nov. 21.
