You could be part of a Guinness World Record. Relay for Life of Lewis County is trying to break the record for most people wearing sunglasses in the dark and invites the public to attend their rally Friday at the Lewis County Fairgrounds — but don’t forget those sunglasses. Relay activities start at 6 p.m. with the team parade. The record attempt will begin at 10:30 p.m. The current Guinness World Record is 1,649 people wearing sunglasses together in the dark. The Lewis County team is shooting for 1,700. Above, Lewis County Relay for Life team members model their UV protective eyewear as they prepare for the sun to set. (COURTESY TONYA SIMPSON)
